You are a Villager. You are afraid of the vampires, but realize that you, as a group can overcome them. They are vulnerable in their human form and the town, each day will vote to lynch someone. Hopefully, you lynch a vampire.

You are the Priest. Each night, you may pray for the safe delivery of a fellow villager. Your faith is such that the saints will prevent that villager from being killed or turned by the forces of darkness. You can stop human actions though, lynchings or the hunters shot. You are selfless and will not be able to pray for yourself. Your power isn't stronger then the Lead Vampires though so you can't stop the 1st 2 turns of the 1st 2 nights, if they are the ones protected they still become vampires.You may be turned in the 1st 2 nights but you will keep your role and work for the Vampires.

You are the Seer. Each night you may use candles, the bones of small animals, and various rituals to consult with the spirits to find evil in your village. The information you are provided only indicates the presence or absence of evil. Nothing more specific. You may communicate with the HUNTER if you find them through investigations.

You are the Hunter. Long ago, your grandfather told tales of a similar event in this very same village. After the villagers' victory, he crafted a single silver arrow. You may fire this arrow one time. It is however still an arrow and your skill will ensure the death of whomever it hits, hopefully a Vampire. You may communicate with the SEER if they find you through investigations.

You are a Vampire. You are a force of darkness that delights in the stalk and the kill. Your fellow vampires are XXX, etc. You may communicate outside of the thread with these individuals. Each night, you will decide on a villager to stalk and kill/ try to turn.The game starts off with just 2 Vampires the Lead and 1 person of his choosing then the LV will choose a person to turn for the 1st 2 nights of which nothing can stop this choice.

You are the Lead Vampire. You are the leader of this group of vampires. Your fellow vampires are XXX, etc. You may communicate outside of the thread with these individuals. Each night, you will decide on a villager to stalk and kill.The 1st 2 nights are automatic turns nothing can stop this from that point on it becomes a 50/50 chance at death or a turn(who now works for you and may not communicate this fact to anyone else). If you are killed the other Vampires will loose their turns. You will start out with YOU and 1 person of your choice at game start. IF you choose the HUNTER,SEER or PRIEST in the 1st 2 days they keep their roles but work for the Vampires.

The Lead Vampire will show as innocent the 1st 2 days/nights. He also has the ability to switch 1 time positions with someone on his team.

The LV needs to send in his choice for a turn at day start, if the Villagers lynch this person the LV loses a chance at a free Lesser vampire. This is only for the 1st 2 days. After the 1st 2 days everything can be sent in as normal.

If the top vote getter is protected by the Priest the 2nd vote getter is lynched instead.

So if the vampires BITE the hunter... no shot. The priests protection ONLY blocks vampire bites after the 2nd day.

The new guy walks into town... heh, actually riding into town with the tow truck driver, his 1967 Mustang diligently following the tow truck like a hyper schnauzer follows a great dane.

He has on his best Hawaiian floral shirt and some goofy shorts like some high schooler from the 90s would wear. Oh wait, he was a high schooler in the 90s.

He's heard there are things that roam the night in this town. Evil things. He has little fear of them. Coming from Sunnydale California left him with some really strange experiences and not a few dead friends. But that's life when you hang out with a slayer.

After checking in to the hotel, he walks to the town square and listens to the town meeting. Everyone turns to him. Being the new guy in a town full of evil denizens of the night make people nervous. He's used to having people be nervous around him.

He says, "I don't like vampires. I'm going to take a stand and say they're not good."

i hate making the first day one post, its always cheesy, i have absolutely nothing to say, i am tired, and annoyed. I have had 4 kids since last night, and am ready to sell them on the black market. I don't understand how people do this all the time.
now that i have said that, i feel better.

Today's special at the hot dog stand is a garlic sausage dog with a side of holy water. We also have sterling silver cross pendants on sale for half price.

Chill regrets to inform patrons that the hot dog stand will be closed this morning as he is going into the woods to cut stakes.

Ice hears there are garlic laced hot dogs at Chills place and jumps into his vintage 1969 Dodge Charger, the only car that can fly over creeks and houses and still drive away after hitting the ground, only to find the shop is closed.

Ice thanks his parents for raising him Catholic and forcing him to keep crosses in his him on on his person. He never thought they would come in handy but stranger things have happened in this town.

Ice still being hungry decides to run over to Lady Gs House of Spaghetti for some good old fashioned Italian food heavy on the garlic. Its a known mafia front but these days the mafia isn't the threat and the food is good.

Time for a cruise and to check out possible hiding spots. Maybe I'll go for hot dog and brew on the way back.

The boy from Cali wanders the town. He notices that people are eating garlic hot dogs and carrying crosses. Boy do they have a lot to learn about vamps, he thinks to himself. He has experience with vampires that are not hurt by crosses and with SPF 400 sunscreen, they can walk in the daylight.

Time to get my patented Stakezooka(tm), he says to himself.Yep not much going on here. Hmmm... with a player in bed with the mod (proverbially speaking), it could get pretty ugly... unless you're into that sort of thing.

As a special treat he's offering up barbecued bat wings on a stick. With a complimentary shot of Bacardi for the adults.

Some guy tell him garlic only works in the movies. "Oh well, we'll see" he thinks. There's always the spare propane tank he fitted with a spray nozzle; he's pretty sure flamethrowers work. At least they work in the books.

Well it is still slow...probably because it is a nice summer day. I'm leaning toward Ogre, RB and DD right now but it is still to early to throw a vote down.

My reason for listing Ogre is his early vote and then a quick post to lead RB onto JMax. Once RB went to JMax, Ogre jumped in and voted JMax. RB for caving to peer pressure on JMax and DD for her implications against BKW lurking but not posting. I agree these are not much to go on but no one else is talking so I thought I'd put some ideas out there. It is also the reason I am not voting yet. I'll wait to see a few more posts.

Judge wakes to early, ..The haze from last nights thunderstorm still hasn't cleared the fields. She grabs her smokes and lights one up. Its mornings like these that make her extra nervous. You can almost see shadows walking. Staring out the window, she remembers when it was a nice safe town.
She realizes That Its Sunday, Its a Holy day. She feels compelled to attend services.Walking to her closet, she decides against it. Who really wants to wear a dress today, ..its muggy already and barely 9:00. She reaches in her jewelry box, and grabs her silver cross. " Just in case" she mutters aloud to no one one but herself. A T-shirt and sweats will have to do. No need to impress anyone. No one else in this town is ever up and around this early on a Sunday.
Walking into the kitchen she trips over a dog. **** stupid dogs..she gathers up the leashes, and heads out for a morning run. The dogs are as excited as ever, and almost pull her face first down the street. She stops, adjust the collars and starts moving again. The volume all the way up on the Ipod. "This IS my service " she thinks to herself, ..nothing like solitude and movement to get a girl ready to face the day.

Well it is still slow...probably because it is a nice summer day. I'm leaning toward Ogre, RB and DD right now but it is still to early to throw a vote down.

My reason for listing Ogre is his early vote and then a quick post to lead RB onto JMax. Once RB went to JMax, Ogre jumped in and voted JMax. RB for caving to peer pressure on JMax and DD for her implications against BKW lurking but not posting. I agree these are not much to go on but no one else is talking so I thought I'd put some ideas out there. It is also the reason I am not voting yet. I'll wait to see a few more posts.

that should clear up your concerns, weak minded as they are. With the LV getting two free turns, it really doesn't matter what we do the first two days as some one will switch sides each night. Our loss will most likely be two innocents to stakings and two to turns.

Funny you should say that. Back in the summer of 91 I moved to Fla and a gf of mine decided to move down a week later. That weekend we got into a fight at Daytona Beach and she walked away. I did wait for an hour or so while watching some hotties play volleyball then walked around for about 30 minutes looking for her. Ended up just leaving her there and made her sleep on the beach. Next morning she called and I went and picked her up let her shower then put her on a bus home lol.

Have African Ferns on the right then some breeding jugs from the Cons then the middle is a huge mat of xmass moss then 2 small terra cotta pots with gravel and baby java ferns then the left side will be some Vals I'm getting shipped from a forum member. I'll post a pic when its done. Have some cherry shrimp in there right now.

They gather around the great statue of Bala, all carrying stakes, crosses, garlic...ready to rid the town of these new Vampires, it is known the LV has already chosen one victim, can they stop them before others are turned. The towns folks have made their choice....but it is the right one?

The crowd slowly splits, as Z is carried through the town hog tied to a stake. Looks of scorn are cast in his direction. He is placed against the great statue. The town folks all look up at Bala as his eyes blink alive. In one split second, his tail whips around jabbing a stake through Z's heart.
A silence is over the town, as the people stare at his body shaking and convulsing...until there is no movement from his lifeless body. They slowly start to walk toward his body...frantically ripping the shirt off of him.

There are no marks on his neck...as Z was just an innocent.

Everyone is to busy with the excitement of what had just happened, no one even noticed the person being pulled from the crowd. As the Vampires take their victim, the Lead Vampire smiles at this person, as they recognize who they are now..."YOU...." is all the victim gets out, before their neck was bit, and they are now among the vampires.

This isn't the point behind the list. And you haven't posted one JMax. You're one of only 4 that haven't and the other three haven't checked in since last night (I think).

I have no clue about Ogre, but at least it caused people to post thoughts. I have an inkling of why and like I said, think it was a good idea. This has to be the slowest game that I remember and everyone being quiet will just make it tougher to find the vamps. I agree that JM, Fire, and Ogre need to be watched, but I'd add you to that list as well along with the extremely low posters.

I wouldn't look so much at the list the LV posted if/when they are killed, but a general compilation of everyone's lists to see who the people are that are listed multiple times, and why. Right now there are only 2 vampires to post lists, so the majority will be opinions of innocent townspeople.

Although, the LV could just as easily look at the lists posted and make sure to pick someone not listed at all.

You are a Vampire. You are a force of darkness that delights in the stalk and the kill. Your fellow vampires are XXX, etc. You may communicate outside of the thread with these individuals. Each night, you will decide on a villager to stalk and kill/ try to turn.The game starts off with just 2 Vampires the Lead and 1 person of his choosing then the LV will choose a person to turn for the 1st 2 nights of which nothing can stop this choice.

You are the Lead Vampire. You are the leader of this group of vampires. Your fellow vampires are XXX, etc. You may communicate outside of the thread with these individuals. Each night, you will decide on a villager to stalk and kill.The 1st 2 nights are automatic turns nothing can stop this from that point on it becomes a 50/50 chance at death or a turn(who now works for you and may not communicate this fact to anyone else). If you are killed the other Vampires will loose their turns. You will start out with YOU and 1 person of your choice at game start. IF you choose the HUNTER,SEER or PRIEST in the 1st 2 days they keep their roles but work for the Vampires.

The Lead Vampire will show as innocent the 1st 2 days/nights. He also has the ability to switch 1 time positions with someone on his team.

The LV needs to send in his choice for a turn at day start, if the Villagers lynch this person the LV loses a chance at a free Lesser vampire. This is only for the 1st 2 days. After the 1st 2 days everything can be sent in as normal.

If the top vote getter is protected by the Priest the 2nd vote getter is lynched instead

At this point, I vote to stick a stake in Fire. Right now, the choice is her, JMax or sploke. It's something of a gut feeling on all three. But all three's responses to my question were off. Nothing I can point to and say, "That's the vamp", but all were off and any of the three could end up with my vote.

There are 12 players. 3 bad guys (and another one tonight) and 3 kinda good guys... and 6 innocents. Just an FYI and to help me think.

Well at least someone's talking. 2 hours with no posts...wake up everybody!

I don't see why getting everyone's top suspects out there and seeing what other people are thinking is a stupid idea. I mean, I realize I haven't played a mafia game in a while, but that was kind of how things went before, I can't imagine things have changed all that much. The point is that 75% of lists we get at this point (9 out of 12) will be from innocents so if you take a broad view, we might be able to get some thoughts out.

The alternative, of course, is we all just stop posting our suspicions altogether, but it would make for a boring game.

What I said was that his comment was the reason I'm not voting for him at this time. It's perfectly easy to change. (BTW: I think I want to run a game where votes can't be changed.)

The vampires already know everything. That's the whole point of the game. It doesn't do the innocents any good to hold anything back, excepting the ID of our PRs.

Besides, no one is talking much and at least it gave some information.

Maybe I'm just misunderstanding your typing. The question posed (as I understood it anyway) was, "If you were the LV, who would you pick to turn?" You responded with, "who in their right mind would answer that truthfully?" Well, why would an innocent lie about it? Whats to be gained? The only people that gain from giving false information to that question are vampires, because they would know that if/when they get killed, we are going to go back and analyze every detail of their previous postings.

Unless of course none of us is in our right minds to begin with, which I'm pretty sure is the case, in which case the point is moot.
