STOP YELLING!!!!! TURN YOUR CAPS LOCK OFF!

yes, you're overstocked, make that list about half as populated and you'll be good.

for my comfort level on the tank, I would get rid of one of your middle schoolers (the entire school) and keep the one school with the cories... and have high maintenance done on your tank weekly or more. I'm talking like 50% weekly if not more often.

How often do you test your water parameters? What are they like? How often do you do water changes? How much do you change out?

Seems you do have quite a bit fish in just a 20g but they are small fish. The neons are usually mid to bottom, the harlequins are considered middle to upper, and the cories are bottom. I say if you're keeping all of the water parameters in check you should be fine. You might need to add another filter ... get that tank turned over as many times an hour as you can without affecting the stock.

:iagree: The toughest sign of commitment to keeping fish responsibly is reducing your stocking. You need to IMO.

i heard about the cm rule with fish, is this accurate?

no, it's an awful rule that doesn't take into account different fish with different bioloads. Not to mention different fish and their space requirements.

Especially if you have bottom/algae feeders you won't have enough food for a 20 bottom-feeder fish in a 20gallon tank.

That rule may work for a school of neons or something similar.
