Pleco update

My Gold Nugget Pleco ("Nugget") and my King Tiger Pleco ("French Fries") update. They are growing really nicely and have colored up tremendously. I love em!

I've had both of them for almost 2 months now. I love them. I see Nugget much more than I do French Fries. Nugget will come out in the light and eat. French Fries only eats in the dark. He usually hangs out on the mopani wood while Nugget hangs in the cave. They have both grown quite a bit since I got them.

I intend to start up 2 more tanks, one for some L333s and another for Queen Arabesques. I'm going to order them by end of this month and once everything is set up, will post more pics.

They are just about 3" and both are in my 46 gal tank. I am setting up 2 x 29 gals for the other ones I'm gonna purchase but they will be temporary. I know I will need to upgrade. I got those 29 gals mainly for my angelfish - when they get bigger or pair up. For the time being they will be grow out tanks.

I will keep everyone updated on Nugget and French Fries though... they will be remaining in the 46 gal, I will not be moving them out to the 29 gals.

Yeah... FF did pack on some pounds :) So did Nugget. They are both little piggys. I vary their diet as much as possible. Even growing pesticide free veggies for them :)

Hi there. Very nice pair of plecs there. Nugget looks to be a very nice specimin of an L177. As for French Fries he is not a King Tiger but a Tiger Pleco (L002 Panaque sp.). You can find out more information about them below in the links. Make sure that you have some nice good sized pieces of driftwood in your tanks for the L002 as they are wood grazers.

Hmmm... I didn't know that. He was sold as L66 along with a bunch of others. He doesn't look completely like the L002 pics in planet catfish. I guess we will have to wait till he gets a little bigger and see. Yes, I do have a big mopani wood in the tank. Thanks for the input.
