okay i just got a frogspawn and a ric. i need to know how to glue them down. the frogspawn just has its calcium branch with two heads and the ric is attached to a very small rock. they keep getting knocked over by my hermits and turbo snail. do i just use some superglue and take out a rock and glue them or how would i do it?

That will work fine. Just get a cyanoacrylate superglue gel. Take out the rock you wish to glue them to, as well as a container of tank water. Dry off the base of the coral surface you wish to glue, as well as the rock--as best as possible. Then dab the glue generously and hold the coral in place for a few seconds until it holds. Then sit it in the container for a few minutes to cure as much as possible. Then, sit it in a low flow area of the tank to cure further. After a day or so, go ahead and move it where you want it.

Or if it's a case of attaching rock to rock, I use epoxy which works well and can withstand my maroon clown trying to rearrange my rockwork:grinyes:

Well, to be honest, I use both at the same time. I use superglue for its adhesiveness and I use epoxy to grip in crevices, which seems to work very well. Not only that, you end up not having to use nearly as much epoxy.

I have used several brands, like D-D, Marineland, TLF, etc. They all work, especially with my method of using them.

Yep I've used D-D and milliput both with success. I've also used the superglue method for fragging but never tried both together. Now doing it that way would definately stop my clown fish!!!!

Well, I'm wondering how it has worked so well for each of you. I used epoxy once and it did not do a darn thing...no sticking at all. My coral fell right off of it. After much finagling I eventually got it to hold a sea fan in place. I also tried the glue gel, with better success but when I wanted to move the coral, I had no problem popping it right off with a bit of pressure. Wonder what I'm doing wrong?

i'm having the same problem with the epoxy. it wont bond to either the rockwork or coral. its two little fishes brand. i tried scrubbing the algae off but still did not want to stick. i am going to try amphiprions method next. any other methods???
