My Corys have an Illness and I cant diagnose it accurately. There is no obvious signs of illness except for slightly red fins on the underbelly and some erratic swimming. They are staying a little above the bottom when moving around. I took out the last dead body and it looked fine. A little fraying on the fins but nothing that seemed bad. When the first fish died I suspected a genetic problem because it didnt look ill.

Take note these fish are in a tank with 6 Discus and all the Discus seem fine.

Any Ideas? No pics will be posted til the next death.

what type of water are you on (well, tap, etc.)?

corys, though relatively hardy, have some intricacies.

what's your temp? ph? ammonia? what type of substrate do you have?

When i first started in the hoby, i had a bunch of corys drop. the general concesus was that they dropped due to a combination of high temp and large substrate (which appeared to be damaging their barbells as they rummaged through the gravel.)

are they wild caught or captive bred? WC corys, like a lot of other WC fish, are less hardy than their captive bred counterparts.
