Shipping fish/shrimp safely in summer

I don't use cold packs as I have not found any that would remain effective long enough to be used for priority shipping. I just try not to ship if the daytime temps are over a tolerable range for the shrimp (about 85 or so). I try and check the temps where the packages will be shipped to. Also, my post office has two pickup times, early and late afternoon. I have been dropping the packages in the late afternoon as they are moved indoors overnight and it reduces the time they sit in a truck. Even dropping them for the evening pick-up, they are usually delivered within 2 days. I also insulate just like I do for cold weather in order to try and stabilize the temp in the box. So far so good!

i would cut another hole close to the other and put a ice pack in. i picked up some ice packs from a local place. i plan on getting more next time i go there were like $0.75 each for them. might want to check like walmart or something for those ice gel packs.

shrimp is easy they can take most of the high heat. fry on the other hand as temps go up less o2 in the water. plus the higher temps can kill them.

I was looking at something like this http://www.roshgo.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?page=rc01/CTGY/01010

It looks to be more affordable and "adjustable", I'm not sure about the weight. There was another one, I can't find the link now, that you wet it tomake it the size you want, then freeze it.

Do you tape the styrofoam to make a box or just stick the pieces in the priority box?
