My GH is at 40. I need to make the water harder, how do I do this?

Depends on the fish. For a community tank 40 ppm (mg/L) is just fine.

I recall this is for sailfin mollies. I vote rift lake cichlid salts.

Hard to believe I wrote this article two years ago when I only really had two tanks. I know have 6 (4 of which are actually running though) and I may have to re-visit some of the stuff I wrote about.
