Is water temp critical for LR?

Im getting 110# of live rock from someone taking down a tank Saturday, and i just got mine full of water. Do i need to get the water temp up for the live rock to live? the temp now is around 68 degrees...

I would highly recommend getting the water temp up to at least 78F before adding the LR. Since the rock is coming from an established tank, I would suspect that there's an assortment of inverts coming along with the rock (sponges, tube worms, snails, etc.), be it unintentionally or intentionally. If that is the case, 68F is going to be too cold for them.

I keep my tank temp between 76F on the low side up to 80F on the high side.
77-78F is fine.

Well, I bought 2 300 watt heaters, and the tank is up to 70...
My rock is due here in an hour.. Think it will be ok to put the rock in?
Or does anyone have any tricks to get the temp up quickly?

i think it would be best to keep the rock in the transport containers until the temperatures match. the transport water will be cooling as the tank continues to heat up. once they are nearly the same, move the rock over and allow the tank to come up to temp.

Heh, well i had no choice...there was no water with the rock as it was transported...
how long will LR stay live without being submerged?
it was all still damp... and it only was out of water about an hour and a half..
my water temp was at 72 when i put it in... so i hope its warm enough..
will the coraline live? even if the inverts die?

It should be fine, it will have to go through a curing process anyway.

thanks for the help all!
