So tonight I decided to check out my rock in the dark....seen several bristle worms, some pods, and this thing I'm not sure what it is...it almost reminds me of a jelly fish or something, I'm sure that isn't what it is...but what is it? When I put my finger above it...it's "arms" closed and it backed into the hole a bit. It has a circular body and like 12 arm things extending from the "body". I took some pics but it is hard to see. Does any one know a way I can make it stay in zoom? When I go to my review pictured and zoom up, you can see it perfectly...but I don't know how to make it stay that way to download it? Anyway, here are the pics I did get, if you can make it out and know what it is please let me know!!!! Clown or Grins had given me a site a while back that showed different types of "hitchhikers" but when my computer crashed I lost all my bookmarks. There is also this white "stuff" at the bottom of one of the rocks it looks like cob webs is the best way I can describe it.

Only thing i've ever seen like that is Aiptasia...

To add to that, now that I looked at your pic again, the "body" is different it had a circle "body" with the arms coming from that. The pic of the Aiptasia looks like the "arms" go all the way to the center of it. This ones start at the end of the circle thing?
 
It's aiptasia, that's just the pic on the web i found that closest matched your pictures.
There's a number of ways to kill the little pests :p
I just had to kill two not three days ago.
What i use is a simple, medical needle (Thanks to having a mother who is a nurse :p) and lemon juice. Stick it and squirt .5 milliliters into it. The Aiptasia will actually seal itself up to protect itself, sealing the lemon juice inside. PH drop, and the guy drops dead (Both aiptasia, when I killed them ,also leaked out a bit of white gooey stuff..I took it as the white surrender flag :p)
It shouldn't affect your tank too harshly, and it's all natural.

CRAP, I wanted it to be something fun.....but NNNNNOOOOOOO, it has to be some poor creature I now have to kill, I hate killing things dang it! :headshake2:

So any ideas on what the spider web looking stuff may be??? Why it is there?? It isn't by the stupid thing I have to kill, but it's at the bottom of one of my pieces of LR?
