So 3 weeks ago i added a internal filter to my DT so that it can pick up the good stuff from my DT, a week later i added it to my qt rubbermaid i also added 1 peice of live rock, i thought that there was a ammonia spike, well I ordered a bumch of livestock tonight, to be delived on wed, I tested the water and 0 ammonia 0 nitrates and 0 nitrites, see i think that i would have some nitrites or nitrates. In case it is not cycled what should i do. I know i should definatly qt my fish. my livestock i got was aboug 20 smails, flame angel, royal gamma, and orange spotted goby

Well, you may have a serious problem with that many fish suddenly. QTs aren't really designed to suddenly pack a bunch of fish into. Rather, they are for slow, individual addition of specimens. May I ask how big it is?

If you already have them coming in, the best thing to have on hand would be plenty of water for water changes. You may also want to consider something like bio-spira marine or something for an emergency, even though I don't usually like to use similar bacterial additives. It may just save your stock.

Yeah, twenty gallons is pushing it in terms of that much fish mass.
