they are sooooo tiny.... losing my other 3 seemed like a huge loss to my tank so I was almost at a desperate stage to get some more. I searched LFS all over to no avail. So I went and ordered these. I have the first pic of them 3 (which haven't left each others sides), and then the next few I have my angels for size relation. Note, the angels are at the top right (of course) and they are at the bottom left.

Congrats on your pickup ! As you know, they won't be small for long ! Got mine in Jan, probably same size (about an inch), and now they're at least 4 or 5 inches ! Good luck !!

yeah, I can't wait for them to grow a bit, I am a little anxious about them being so small..... I sometimes conuse them for the ottos, LOL
that hornwrt in the front is the plant that has taken the hardest hit... if they don't take care of it, it will wind up going.

There are SAEs in every LFS around here, but some people aren't that lucky. Good luck with the SAEs! :)

Wow, David. You are so lucky!! We are inundated with CAE's.... like they are going out of style...
Saweet :)
Lovely fish DD good luck with them !
I got lucky and found 2 sources of SAE, but none of the chain stores carry them around here, except for a petsmart that for some reason carrys Otos.
couldnt a LFS order you any SAE's ???
Thats how I got mine,$5 ea..they ordered a dz. I've had them order several different fish species that no one carries around here.. waiting for the store to find me some bristlenose
those SAE's won't stay small for long, they've got lots to eat in that tank

I'll be interested to see how they do with that. It looks like staghorn? I have that infesting the wisteria in my tank. Unfortunately, SAEs get too big for a 10g.
BTW, how big is that tank?

nah, I guess I don't have it like that at the LFSs I go to. To add, all stores around here have loads of ottos, no shortage around here. They also carry all sorts of plecos, like queen arabisc or however you spell it, the king somethings, those Panaques... then all sorts of beautiful cichlids, all sorts of goldies and koi, tons of freshwater tropical, saltwater fish and rock and shrimps and anemones and stuff... just no sae's.

otto's head looks compressed;perhaps like a common catfish. The SAE is more loachy
