Is it possible?
I watched the cories run up and down the tank glass in a corner and Samus, my goldfish, was joining them, swimming up and down next to them.
Today Samus ate with them, and when he swam off, the cories ran up and down the glass again, trying to follow.
Did my goldfish just become a catfish?

I had a lone Ram that would group with my Clown loach. He tried his best to stay in the powerhead's current alongside his best friend, but I moved him to my gourami tank and he's again happy with his new tank mates.

Goldies are coldwater fish, best not to mix them with tropicals...

He won't be in there for his entire life, soon enough he'll be moved to a pond. I'm just waiting for him to grow a little. And the tank is at 75, a good medium for both species, though admittedly closer to the cories' liking.

I agree with RB, and I think it's possible. Goldfish are very social fish, so I'd imagine if he had no other goldfish buddies that he would try interacting and fitting in with the other fish species that he shared the tank with
