Would this work in a 55 gallon tank? If not, what changes would you suggest? Thanks!
1 Angel
1 Festivum
1 Firemouth
1 Keyhole
1 small pleco

It would work, but I would just make it a rainbow tank.

I really want to try some of the less agressive cichlids but cannot make up my mind on which ones! I thought the rainbows would give me something nice at the upper level of the tank..........

both Festivum and angels tend to stay in the upper half of the tank.
personally I would drop the firemouth and go for some rams.

I would also say drop the firemouth.

I do have a couple of rams in my other tank that I could move.....The firemouth was the one I was not too sure about - aggression wise....Perhaps I should drop the rainbows too then and give the angel and festi the top all to themselves?

I would. add rams..do you have blue's or Bolivians?
for the small pleco I would suggest BN..any of these should be fine in the 55.(there are several species of Ancistrus )

I have 2 bolivian rams. I was thinking along the lines of a BN pleco. Just cant decide on the rest of the crew! Would the festi's be ok w/ the rams?
Not sure but if you have problems you can put rams back in original tank.

Well, I think I need to slow down. I seem to want one of everything and I want it asap! :wall:
I think I would do best by putting my B. rams in a 55 with the following room mates - 10 red eye tetras, 1 BN pleco and 1 Angel.......
I will wait to get festivums or keyholes......bummer!
