64 fish in a 55g tank? i wouldn't add anything except a bigger filter.

Add 15 more fishes and you will have as many as my "overstocked" 100gal.

Even going by the inch per gallon rule your tank is overstocked.

i wouldn't add anything else otherwise you might start having water quality issues

wow, the fish seem so small, I never really added the numbers!!, ok the 15 skirts are gone, my friend had been really wanting them anyways. The 10 neons where moved to another 20 for a while, I'm hopeing to get a 40 soon. I'm getting an ehiem classic for my 55 along with the current hang on. Do I need to do more or are they ok now?

With the fishes (type) that you want ...I would go no more then 40+ total fishes.
45+ if heavily planted with 20%+ weekly water changes.

alright, final numbers for 55
10 neon, 10 cherry barbs, 4 glolight tetra, 8 peppered cory, 2 sunset gauromi, ghost shrimp (i'm planning on adding the 7 embers once they get here)
the 5 harlequins went to my sister's 20 and i took the neons back

a lot of people 'overstock' their tanks. it's not so bad if you do frequent water changes and have extra filtration on the tank.

the 5 harlequins went to my sister's 20 and i took the neons back
that sounds like a good list. the glolites would probably like to have a couple more school mates though.
watch the gouramis to make sure they dont fight.

in case yall were wondering, i do a 20% per week on all tanks except the 20Gal. i end up taking out less cause i'm afraid of getting the fry too which would not be good!
that sounds like a good list. the glolites would probably like to have a couple more school mates though.

i thought the same thing but they seem to be schooling with the neons which is odd cause they are considerably bigger. i will consider it
on the contrary, the gauorami seem to hang around each other but i have never seen them fight. i was originally worried about it but they seem to be fine :), still keepin a close eye on them though
