I have a flowerhorn that is starting to get large about 6 in. His staple is bloodworms, I feed him crickets, feeder fish-rosy reds-, and he apparently has been eating my very large briggs. My question is what are some suggestions for GOOD flowerhorn food? He just turns his nose up at anything dried or freeze dried.

How often do you try dried and FD foods? What about the rest? Live foods and frozen are often taken more than the first two. Try frozen market shrimps, smelts, daphnia, brine shrimps, chopped earthworms, veggies and plenty others. A good fish food is a varied food diet.

The frozen shrimp idea is good never thought of that. I just can't chop up an earthworm SORRY. I have tried almost every darker veg and nope.

Get the small ones if you really don't feel like trying chopped earthworms. Just make sure there is no pesticide used in your source.

Any types of prepared flake or pelleted food out there that anyone has/is having success with?
