I'd go Eheim, Via Aqua, Rena, or Fluval first. Cascade will work ok, but isn't that great for the $, JEBO - not a good option AFAI've heard.

don't know the Via Aqua line will look them up out of curiosity, but i would go Eheim, Marineland C series, Rena, Fluval. what size tank is this for

I don't care for either of those.

cascade is ok for the money and if you are on a budget. both their canister filters and HOB filters are ok, but they don't perform like the leaders from Hagen, Marineland, or Eheim. they have some good features, but the quality can be spotty.
the other filter just looks like an Eheim knock-off. skip it.
if you are looking for a good budget canister, get a Mag.

well i wanted a c220 by marineland, this would be for my 50, its only got a bio wheel 220 going, where my 55 has a emp 400 and a bio wheel 200 going which i think is more than enough, i use diamond in the slide in trays in the emp 400, so i know that tank is good to go
i am on a tight budget...really tight all my fish stuff takes a month to get completed

well if you want a C-220. i found one cheaper then the Cascade you have up there. it's a good filter and would say the eheim is only going to beat it in quality and if you are worried about the lack of spray bar the Rena spray bars fit on it i believe.

I have 2 1000 and 2 700 Cascade filters they are not loaded with features but they work and work well.If you spend anytime searching ebay you don't find that many used or for parts not like you find with eheim's for the price IMHO you can't go wrong mine have been running for about three years now not 1 thing I change to those more expense units for except the one with built in heating but $300+ I can set up new tanks with that kind of money.
In the end its all up to you as for the most part they all filter. Just how much do you want to pay to do that? LOL

you can get the next size up jebo filter for less on aquatraders.com . i used one for a 55 gallon for a while and it worked great.

search Fluval 404 on ebay..I got 2 brand new in the box,3 yr warranty for the same/less than the price of one of the other brands.
I like them both, bought the spray bar kits on ebay for both flters too.
here's where I got them

I had 2 HOT Magnums on a 55 and they worked great. I use one of them plus an AC500 on a 90 and it works out well.

i have the c-220 on a 30 gallon and it produces just the right amount of flow for that tank i would say that the combo of the 360 and 220 would be great

well do you think an emp 400 and a bio wheel 200 are enough for a 55
then i would get a canister, and use my bio wheel 200 for my 50

its best just to give the name vs link so we dont have to figure out what your asking.
both are great filters.

the Magnums work great and are classics really cant go wrong with them. i have a 350 on a turtle tank write now (set it up last weekend). as i understand it thay do get cloged up relativity quickly and if you don't have the bio-wheel attachment thay are not the best with biological filtrations.
