I have searched all over the net trying to identify whatever this is on my BP head. Any help/advice is greatly appreciated!

Looks like a fungal infection to me, but I'm not positive.

Do you know how to treat it and if it is contagous?

If it is Fungal, you can use Pimafix. I'm not positive though. Anyone else think it's fungal? Does it look like cotton?

hmmm, looks like a zit. not a fungus iv seen, but i havent seen them all

what a beautiful baby!! I have one like that one to. I love my blood parrot!! I am not sure of your problem maybe hole in the head starting out??

I would just keep an eye on it it may just be a wound or something. Keep water pristine and add a little melafix.

I agree with paul. It looks like a little ulcer or wound or something. For now, keep nitrates below 20, maybe add some melafxi...see if it improves over the next few days...if anything starts getting worse...you would have to consider medication...I would lead towards and anti-bacterial agent myself.

It looks like an infected wound to me. I agree with akapaul. Water changes and Melafix are what you need.
