Any particular way to find out the gender of a typical freshwater fish? Neons, clown loaches, red finned sharks in particular...

Generally, female fish are fuller bodied and slightly larger than males, but this is not always the case.. For many fish, there are not any external signs of gender. For the three that you named, I can not recall ever seeing anything that specified any way to differentiate. Sorry.
