Ok lets say i have a long 20g, a penguin biofilter, a heater, lighting, what else do i need, again i am so new to this, kept freshwater for over 9 years. I want to make a very basic set up. Maybe interested in keeping blue/green Reef Chromis. So please help me.:help:

It would help to have a protein skimmer to help remove the filmy layer that builds up in sw tanks. I don't know if it is absolutely necessary though if you won't be keeping any corals or any other light demanding creatures. Are you wanting only fish in your setup, or fish with live rock?

That's not really enough individuals to keep them from picking each other off, one by one. I think a different fish that is more suited is in order.

sand and maybe i'll take two of the blue/green damsels away and add the yellow tail damsel.

Unless that is all you plan on keeping, I'd stay away from damsels in general. BTW, the Chromis really need a bigger tank, anyway. They are highly active fish.

Clownfish would be fine--preferably the smaller species like A. ocellaris and A. percula.

What? Do you mean setting up the tank? There are lots of things to consider. Take a look at this thread (http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=158130) for some excellent details on how to start up a new tank. My suggestion is to do as much reading as possible to get a good idea of how to do things. Beyond that, just have patience.
