will plain old crazy glue work to glue the small rock that my ric is on to a larger piece of rock?

you bet. Although unless it is the gel, you might have a bit of a harder time. (but it's still possible)

just did it with the runny stuff. it worked. luckily the small piece of rock that the ric was on was flat and so was the LR that i glued it to. i am sure it is not super strong but stong enought to keep it there i hope.

You actually do want to use the gel.
