Just saw a Pinpoint wireless thermometer made by American Marine on Big Al's site, and I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with it or something similar ? I'm looking ahead to when (and mostly IF, 'cause the breeder doesn't seem to want to return my e-mails !) I get my tank to raise zebra plecos. Just curious as if these are very widely used ? Thanx for any info/

What would be the purpose of wireless, to monitor temps from another room or a central point in your home?

I think I'll stick to the floating glass style, imo.

No, wireless just means that there are no wires running from the probe in your tank to the monitor on the front outside of the tank.

I suppose that the temperature is taken with the probe and a signal is sent out to the monitor and read on the screen. It should be as accurate as a wired one, just better.

its 2 fancy for me lol
why not just have a wired one, its not like it takes up 2 much space..
