Which is a better size?

Hi!

I want to upgrade to a big tank in the future, and I’m wondering which size is better for planted tank? 55gal or 75 gal?

The bigger the better

Bigger is always better, in my opinion. I like my 55g, but I would have also liked the extra depth of the 75g.

Bigger is almost always better with fishtanks. The extra 6" of width allows you a ton more options when it comes to aquascaping the 75 over the 55.

Its totally up to you.. I mean you are talking about a planted tank.. One can say a 30g planted tank is better than a 55g.. Its all about what the person prefers to work with. Its not like with fish where "which tank would an oscar like more??"

55's are too short front to back for my liking.

I would prefer a 75 in your case but a 55 would work great too.

as BK said it's all about prefurances. personally i would go with a 55 over a 75 just because i find i don't want to deal with bigger tanks. personally my favorite tank size is a 40br because it's not to big and allows you some nice room for scaping
