Aug 23 - New England area AC meet!

Alright, I've been talking about this for a while, so we finally got our stuff together and hopefully will make it happen. August 23, party at my house :D

Anyone willing to make the trip is more than welcome. We'll have beer and lots of food. We've got room for anyone who feels like spending the night, just give me a heads up so I know how many to expect. And yes, I'll be giving guided tours of the fish wall :D

Yeah there are some decent ones. Wet Pets in Vernon, Aquatic Wildlife in Manchester, and Puppy Center in West Hartford. Fin and Feather down in Groton is pretty good too, although I don't get down there very often.

I haven't gotten the tickets yet because I still need to talk my dad into paying for them (yes I'm horrible) but I will keep you updated, lol

Less than a week away! Got the volleyball net up, got the keg ordered, got Friday off from work.... :D Its going to be fun. AND, I think I worked out a karaoke program to run on my computer....muahahahaha

Hmmm.... You have me tempted. I just checked, and you are an hour and a half away from me. My 17 year old daughter might have to work that day though, and if she does she'd need my car so I couldn't make it. But if not I might be able to come, and she might even want to come along with me, since you have a horse farm. (she rides, although not dressage, still I'm sure she'd love to see the horses if they are out) And I'd have to bring my four year old along, too. So basically I don't know, I'm just typing as I think it out. What time is the party? And would I be the oldest one there? (I'm over 40 :22_yikes: )

lol zig...there's probably only going to be 10-20 of us drinking keg beer, its mostly for beer pong. I think we'll have plenty.

and finsnfur, thats too bad...yeah tell ehr to take a personal day and bring her along lol. A fish wall is the downstairs display of 6 in-wall tanks in my basement. As far as being the oldest one there, no way...its not a strictly fish thing, I have a lot of friends coming, and some of liz's clients will be there, lots of horse people....enticing, i know lol.

I love horsey people, what a pity I can't make it. I used to ride a little myself, and worked at a barn with my daughter. My daughter can't call in sick though, she's one of four employees at an animal hospital, and they just fired one for being unreliable.

Yeah, everyone seemed to have a really good time. Went through about 80 burgers, 20 gallons of beer, only lost 3 ping pong balls, and one tent casualty :D. Oh yeah and the fence in my backyard was pretty much destroyed. So yeah, good party lol. And I'm not sure of anyone was cognizant enough to take any pictures, I was way too busy with other stuff so I know I didn't.
