Not sure how I want to arrange the driftwood in my 10g, so I am asking for others opinions. I have my ideas, but I want to see what matches. Below are the following possibilities.

The cardboard approximates the floor of the 10g.

The plants that may or maynot be in the 10g are: Petite nana, rotala indicia, Crypt parva, crypt wendtii red, riccia, xmas moss, pearlgrass, ludwigia repens, dwarf lobelia and Didiplis diandre.

PLEASE VOTE FOR THE ONE YOU LIKE THE BEST. Planting suggestions area always welcome (although I might still just do what I have in my mind)

I like #5, makes it look like a large piece with them together. Remember you can always change the way it looks, but the more the merrier you know? :)

Those are some nice driftwood pieces you have there.

I like #3, it'll look great with low growing plants in and around the driftwood. A downside to #3 is that because the driftwood is low to the ground a lot of it may get hidden by plants depending on how you plant and prune the tank.

You could also try one similar to #4, but with the left piece of driftwood turned around so that both are slanting up and to the right, but not connected like #5. Too much symmetry is not a good thing.

Please keep us updated with pics of the tank, it has the makings of a great tank.

I picked #2 but #5 also works for me. Basically, I like the way the first piece (1&2) is sitting in #2 compared to #1. #5 is good, too, because it does look like one big piece. I personally wouldn't have them separate because they are both beautiful and around the same size so neither one is "dominant"; seems a bit too busy that way. Although with a lot of plants around, if that's what you're planning, it might look better.

lol I had to read this three times to understand what you meant... :D :D

I chose 3.

That is a very dark piece of wood. Do you know what kind it is? Where/how did you get it?

Thanks for the opinions peoples. I'll most likely do the tank in Journal style so you can see how it goes.

The wood is Malaysian drifwood. It has been through a few boiling treatments and soaked for quite some time to reduce leaching. One of my LFS's had them and the rest is history :D
