Good websites for ordering plants

Hey everyone, thought I'd "test the waters" (sorry for the pun) and see what were some good websites to buy plants from? A lot of the websites I've been to seem a little pricey for me, but then again, I'm willing to pay if the quality and quantity is good.

Those are both good places. You can also look on ebay, or in the classified section on this site.

I just received an order from aquaticplants.com. Everything arrived in good condition. 2 of the plants arrived in their emersed form instead of their submerged form, which is kinda annoying, but otherwise everything looks good. And they definitely give you good portions for what you pay. Shipping is expensive, but you can't really escape that

i would also second the suggestion of looking on the classifies here and Ebay (theres a seller out of ohio that has some good plant there last i checked). you can usually get good quality plants from members. i would also suggest looking over at TPT (http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/) and APC (http://www.aquaticplantcentral.com/forumapc/index.php) because thay also have sections like the classifieds here and because thay are more specialized into plant you can usually find some really good deals

Forums are the best way to go hands down... I'd have to side with aquabotanic over aquariumplants.com, though both are great in terms of customer service. The seller bayleespapa on Aquabid has his own website at www.bayleesfishees.com, and all orders over 20 bucks ship for free, which you couldn't beat with a bat. His customer service is excellent as well.

Anyone ever order from eaquaplant.com? I ordered from them about 2 months ago, but no plants. Last time the person there responded to an e-mail was June 2 saying they were going to ship plants the following week.

Sounds like you just paid to learn not to buy from them. I doubt they have a proper business license, but none the less I'd file a complaint with the BBB.

I have only only ordered once from Aquabotanic. Prices were very reasonable, but I was disappointed in the plants I received and the packing. Aquabid is a good place to look. I have placed several orders on eBay with Planted Aquarium Central in Texas, they have good clean specimens and great packing, unfortunately they have temporarily suspended their business (moving to another state). I have also ordered a couple times from Sweet Aquatics in Ohio and was pleased with what I received (good sized plants and very reasonable shipping costs).

I've searched on Ebay and found this seller, but they're in Malaysia. Certainly don't have anything again foreigners, but a little concerned as I've never bought anything overseas like that. Feedback looks decent, shows they're a power seller, the products look AMAZING.... has anyone else bought from these people?

This forum and APC (http://www.aquaticplantcentral.com/forumapc/index.php?referrerid=15164) are the way to go, especially for some seldom seen species.

Once you're awash in whatever it is that decides to "take over" your tank, these are also the best place to peddle your excess (or to trade for slower growers).

I have and all have been in good condition only problem and there is no way around it is shipping time is looong not his fault just takes time to get to the usa

i too have bought from them and plants arrived safe but a little for worse where because of how long it takes to get here. usually don't buy internationally because of costums. and i find that it really does take too long to get here for what it is usually

I read someone's neutral feedback saying that customs seized their plants. Does that happen alot?

one problem when ordering from overseas..the plants my be seized ...

I have sent his happen before..
even had a custom made smoking pipe(tobacco) that I sent to Canada..that was seized by customs. whatever for we have no idea.. i made a new pipe and sent it to the person that never received it. it was a gift for crying out loud.
