im currently running low wattage in my planted tank (about .5 watts) i was curious if i should mabye do away with the night cycle for them and just give em as much of the low wattage as possible.

Certainly not if you have any fish.

If you need more light, add more light, adding more time/duration does not make for this.
Plants do much better with 10-12hrs a day. Algae does pretty well 24/7.

k thanks, ill keep em on their 12/12 cycle. i dont ae any fish in it yet as im giving thefishless cycle a go. i plan on adding another strip within this week as my funds are low right now. any clues on an affordable strip that will fit a 29 gal?? all the ones ive seen are 75 bucks+. the power compact stuff looks nice but runs 115$ for hood and lamp on ebay. but one of those 65w bulbs would be perfect.
