im new to marine tanks and ive read that angels of the same species or that look similar are not compatible but that some angels that look different enough from each other can co-exist in a tank. soooo... my question is, can a choral beauty angel and a flame angel live safely in the same tank? thanx.

they can if the tank is really large and aquascaped with tons of liverock. even then there's a change that they will still fight. i don't think it's really worth the risk of losing such beautiful fish.

It's ok, I confuse my students too.
Risky under any circumstances, and you really only have a decent chance of success in a big tank (6'+)
Its possible.... the flame will be the more aggressive of the two, and would have to be the last one added.
