On my Tiger Vallisneria(I think its a tiger) and my melon sword there are brown spots.
On the melon sword its very noticeable, some of the leaves look like spoiled lettuce, brown/yellow and crinkled up, i pulled them off, but then some of them are only half like that, rigid and healthy up to a certain point, then yellowed and dead looking.
On my Vals, they just look horrible : /
They're mostly green, but heavily speckled with brown and yellow spots.
And my Anacharis.
The Anacharis is bright green at the top, but half way down the stalk they just turn very, very dark green, almost black. I think it might be algae? I have no clue really, tried scrubbing it off, but it wouldn't come off.
Now for my specs
CRAPPY lighting(possibly the cause?) but the tank is not 2 inches away from a window that has sunlight shining through constantly, I would think that sunlight would be good lighting?
46 gallon tank
NO co2 input, i think my fish might supply all the co2 needed, dont know though, thats why im posting this haha.
I supplement the plants with "plant food tabs" by Jungle
No sandy/soily substrate, just plain old pebbles
Help would be great. New to plant keeping, definitely want to figure out what im doing wrong, and possibly cheap, cost effective solutions :]
