What is your lighting/tank size and how long do you keep lights on
When was the last time you did a gravel vac
How often do you feed fish
What are your water parameters??

could be BGA?

is it like a thin film, that you can peel off in sheets? and it smells like fresh cut grass or uncooked corn on the cob..

got any pix?

Now it all depends on how long you had your lights on per day, how much you feed your fish. Also what is your filtration?? Did you disturb the gravel in the past week?

Do a large 50-60% wc today and another on friday. See if that helps solve the green water issue.
