So I have been cycling my 125 gal aquarium and finished it in about 2 1/2 weeks. My fish were not scheduled to arrive until today so I continued to add ammonia everyday until yesterday. Today I did the 90% water change and unfortunately my fish did not arrive. (Bought them on aquabid.com) I have been told by the seller they will arrive tomorrow instead. So now that I did that huge water change will it still be okay tomorrow or do I need to put ammonia in tonight and then do another huge change tomorrow? Just don't want to mess up the cycle...

Thanks in advance,
Erin

I think you will be fine.

Thanks for the speedy response! What a relief... I did not want to do the water change all over again tomorrow but hope the cycle remains... Thanks again.

lol wow. sound like ur putting a LOT of effort into the whole cycling thing. u know, most ppl just have the filter and lights going for a week and then start adding fish. well atleast you wont have as many dead fish at the beginning.

That effort that you speak of is considered the right way and actually the easiest way in the long run.

Add a drop or two of ammonia for the bacteria to munch on if you are worried about it, otherwise I'd say you are fine. :headbang2:
