Hello,

So now that I have done several major water changes to my aquarium (my son dropped iodine) I decided to add TetraAqua "Easybalance" to my water. I purchased this 3 weeks ago but never opened/used it, when I opened this I noticed that this bottle is not sealed or anything. Once you open the cap, you can directly pour out the liquid. I was just wondering if this is normal or did I buy an opened/defective product? I looked online, but not much info about this. Thanks!

i heard this stuff is not good for you tank because it can cause amonia spikes. i have no experience with the product but that is what i was told when i asked about it last year.

A majority of the testmoninals online says its safe and effective...

My main question was it's normal for aquarium liquid formulas to not be sealed.

Often you will find them not safety sealed. That is pretty much reserved for food items after the problem with people tampering with extra strength tylenol. At least in the US, all food and medications have some sort of tamper resistant seal.
