I have been reading here and I know you have to get a fert schedule set up for the heavily planted full throttle tanks.

to do that you need to get a handle on the nutrient use of your tank, or I should say the plants in the tank, and that is by testing to see what the levels are.

now this is where I am at a loss in my research(I don't have the space to have the tank I am researching at the moment)

Where do you get the testing stuff for your tank, most of the test kits I see only have amonia, nitrite, and/or nitrate tests.

how do you test for the other nutrients ????? ??? ??? ????

???? ??? ????????? ? ?? :D ;) :)

When first starting up the tank you should have: pH,ammon.,nitrite, and nitrate test kits. Also gH and kH are necessary.
After the tank is established you will use mostly pH, nitrate, and phosphate kits if you are dosing phosphates.
All of the above can be purchased at www.bigalsonline.com
Many manufacturers have "master" test kits which include most of the above at a savings in dollars. I believe Tetra has one that includes everything but phosphates.
