We just got back from vacation in West Virginia and brought back some sunfish with us to Florida. We just put them in the tank and noticed that the pumpkin seed sunfishes eye is pushed in and is swimming sideways. What do you think we should do to get it to pull through??

Give him a place to hide and keep the water quality absolutely pristine. Collecting fish in the summertime is often hard on them.

I just brought back some sunfish from going fishing on saturday, out of the five kinda iffy looking ones one pulled through, I did a water change before adding them all in and put some salt in just in case, then changed a water again on sunday and put some salt in again, then did a waterchange every day since, but skipped on salt as the fish is looking great, now it takes most of the fish food I throw in the tank, pellets, flakes, etc.. trying to ween him off live foods. It even swims around now without hiding much.

Thank you, that is great advice. I new it was going to be hard to collect in the summertime but we are hoping they will survive.
