I couldn't believe it. This thing is like a $400 tank. Now granted I have to drive an hour one way to get it, but I think it's worth it. Woo-hoo! Now I need to get a stand for it. And lights. And a hood. And FISH! Hehehe.

Where is a good place to get a stand/lights for a bowfront?

Sweet find !:headbang2: Whatcha gonna stock it with? It should just take a straight light bar of any variety. The stand will be a little tricky but you may be able to come up with one through craigslist, fosters and smith, petsolutions, your lfs, etc....

I've never owned a bowfront before. I pick it up tomorrow. Is there a lid build into the tank or do I need to get a canopy/glass tops for it?

I just picked up a 46 gallon bow front tonight from a guy a few towns over. Mine came with a hood that is definitely not built in. I'm guessing you are going to have to buy one.

OK, no problem. Just the bare tank for $50 is still a great deal. I will shop around for a hood for it.

Cheapest stand I can find built for a bowfront is $100 + shipping. Could I build one cheaper you think? Maybe using cinder blocks and wood?
