Hi, I was wondering if Trisulfa was plant and shrimp safe? I was looking for a medication to treat columnaris, do you guys have any recommendations that are in general shrimp and plant safe that is relatively cheap? If not, what are the best medications to treat columnaris in your oppinion on a few cardinal tetras who have it on their mouths... because right now it is a toss up between trisulfa or Maracyn2 and Maracyn. The reason I am leaning towards trisulfa is because it is a lot cheaper.

Thanks!!

oh man, any way you could remove the shrimp for treatment?
I think some people have used the maracyn combo without losing shrimp, but its generally not considered invert safe. You could try salt and lots of large volume water changes. Lets hope flaringshutter chimes in here, she is very good at this and has dealt with columnaris firsthand.

I used Jungle fungus tabs to treat columnaris in my tank and my shrimp were fine. Although it didn't treat the illness and my guppies soon died. :(
