I have 3 angels. All were of same size when I bought them. 2 of them have grown much bigger since but one grew much slower. The smaller one was showing signs of stress yesterday. I was told that my kid nephew came in my absence and was tapping on the glass. The fish also had a couple of grey marks on the 'forehead' which I attributed to scratches at the time.
Today the marks are white and another angel is showing similar marks. The bigger angel is behaving normally, but the smaller one is still behaving like stressed.
Could anyone tell me how you would interprete this pics please?

Maybe Ich, maybe not...... Wait a little longer for more sure signs. Looks more like bite marks on the scales to me.

Peeled scales? Is that a desease or just ruffled scales from agression?

if you want to learn more about ich and it's treatments go here: http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=88601

i have used the salt/raising temp treatment myself and it was very successful!

Yes, I think its definitely scratches. They seem more agressive than usual towards each other. Maybe because I have trimmed most of the stem plants down to a few inches and now they are seeing a lot more of each other. Some of the marks have paled while there are some new marks around the same area.

Yeah that doesn't look like ich. Ich is definitely more 3D then that. It would look like someone sprinkled salt over your fish. I would just keep the water clean and maybe add some melafix. Make sure you keep some taller plants, driftwood, or rock structures in the tank to break up their line of sight. Keep us informed if it gets worse.

It looks like it could be ich. Either way, Id put two teaspoons of salt per gallon of water and that should clear up whatever it is. Since it appears to affect more than one fish...id lean more toward it being ich than anything else. Have you added any new additions lately?

Water changes and a little salt wont hurt . That is not ich, looks like scratches keep a eye on it.

I'm trying to avoid salt because of my plants. I haven't added any fish or plant in a long time. Tank is at 27 °c. so if there was ich, it would have developed much earlier.

I checked on them again today. One angel has a few ragged fins but no white marks. The other has a few white marks but more like lines than like dots. I just have to hope my stem plants grow back quickly to give cover.
