I added some Pennywort Friday to my tank. I planted it instead of floating it. I come home today and look over at it and my ramshorns and nerites seem to be having a little "party". :grinyes: I just thought it was funny, because I never see my snails anywhere near each other really.

The algae and any other organics which have accumulated on the surface of the hornwort are a great food source for the snails. I routinely move dead, algae covered leaves from other aquariums to my invertebrate tanks where they immediately attract a large crowd of snails and shrimp. Within a few hours the leaves are nice and clean and the clean up crew is nutritionally satisfied.
