New fish, new fish- I got new Goldfish!
Photos here!
They just got here yesterday morning but are doing well so far.
They came from Arthur over on Aquabid- they are big and they are fat! Might be only seven inches long
but they are deeper than they are long- just massive.
Circumference must be over a foot and a half, especially on the big calico.
I'm keeping them in low lighting until they adjust a bit more-
I'll take some more photos in a few days.
They were packed in just one bag, so I had to get them into the
tank pretty quickly. All but the big red and white adjusted
perfectly, but she was stressed from the get go. Once in the tank she rests a lot then goes on mad kamakazi tears and does loop-de-loos on the way back. I'm considering everything stress related so far- don't want to get hasty about meds. They were packed pretty tight in that bag.
All three ate well last night- that has to be good. I was told to feed gently initially so I've start them off with peas and some spirulina. Then probiotic food for a week or so, then medicated food if they have problems.
I'll Prazi and Program them as soon as I think they're stable. They look good but better safe than sorry.
I love Goldfish!
