cool so i have 7 frontosa in my 120gal they are roughly close to 2 years and are still not mature they are around the 5 to 6 inch mark and my male who is the tribe leader well i seen him get pretty nasty with his harem and i have seen him push my lelupi back but nothing real serious but on a side note when i was first introducing my firecracker adult male lelupi my large front grabbed him by the head and tried to eat him the lelupi was able to retreat to a cave and is now doing great, but all in all my harem of fronts are no sissies aye and its strange to see that in them, i guess my harem is special hehehe.. here is some photos of my frontosa at sub adult size and the last photo with the black gravel is when they were still youngsters in my 55gal..

thanks jpappy yeah i have always wanted to do a front setup and honest i am glad i did and the life span they live 25 years wow, when i get the chnace here in a year or so i will move them to a 220 or 250gal just waiting on a house for a tank i need a basement aye, hehehe, later..

Lovely fronts - as they get larger you're going to find that any fish which can fit in their mouths will become a target for them.

I agree...they naturally feed on cyprichromis leptosoma in the wild, which are sleek, slender fish...similar shape to the leleupi. I would watch out.

aye you guys dont have to tell me i have seen them go after new residents that were added but yeah i have a lot of rocks and hiding places for them and honest i feed alot and water change just as much i keep them full but i do understand the risk and if i do get the 220 or the 250gal i will have so many hiding places for the slender fish to take refuge but dont lelupis and brichardis get to be 6 inches or more and the fronts get to be 12 to 14 inches i just think it would be unwise of a healthy full fish to eat another fish that size unless i am starving and well that will never happen my fish have so much variety in foods, frozens, prepaired, live and commercial foods but no live little fishes are offered as food.
