filter impeller

does anyone know where i can get an impeller for a hartz crystal clean III? i dont need the motor, just the impeller. i put an old impeller from a different filter in, and it works, but the blades are wider, and they're hitting on the plastic and making alot of noise. any help would be appreciated.

dont know, you can try calling them or go to ebay you can get a brand new filter like that for 3 bucks

I've had middling luck getting parts for older filters. I'm not familiar with the Hartz line of filters, but what size tank do you have and what do you have in it? It may be just easier to get a new filter. If you go online to Big Als, say, you can an Aqua Clear (made by Hagen) pretty cheaply. I'm thinking that a misfit impeller will not draw properly, regardless of the noise of the issue.
