I have one of my yellow labs that literally sleeps. He "hangs" with his nose pointing downward in one of my plants and each morning I think he's dead when I flip the light on. Then in about 3-5 minutes he will "wake up" and swim away. He is the only fish in the whole tank that does this. I will try and get a picture tomorrow to show you guys. Crazy fish. :)

Never seen any fish sleep like that before, "resting" I have seen, but not hanging upside down like a bat and not moving, lol.

I see what you mean. Strange huh?:lipssealedsmilie: You'd see loaches sleep by lying at their back. Many a beginner has freaked out from the sight of this thinking the loaches died.:perv:

Mine all seem to have a place in the tank that they spend the night in and two of them kinda hide pointed down in a fake plant.
I like how they wake up. I have thought about doing some sort of dim light and then a brighter light because of the "harshness" of them waking up. My mbuna seem to be more asleep than the other fish I have. I also have the lights coming on around noon, so they have some natural light before the tank light comes on.

Some of my yellow labs position themselves in the plastic plants whereby the "branches" support them while they sleep. Some rest among the stones. I can find them about anywhere in a "resting" position of some fashion.
