hello...we are moving our turtle into a new 125 gal. so our 55 gal is soon to be unoccupied. my husband LOVES sharks, but bala's (the one's we wanted) get too big for a 55 gal. SOOO...can anyone recommend a shark species, or shark look-alike good for a 55 gallon?

are they community fish? i've read they can be aggressive with their own species. i was kind of hoping for a few fish of the same species, and only getting like, two species.

this tank will be primarily for growing plants for food for the turtle. so a few fish that are larger and heavy poopers would be okay.

What fish are in your tank? What is the temperature? Try Puntius denisonii.

Wow, those are expensive fish. (the P. denisonii)

Most of the commonly available "sharks" are not compatible with their own species, and some other species too (black shark, rainbow shark, ruby shark, etc.).

I agree with Lupin, some Puntius denisonii (red line torpedo barbs) would be cool, if you can find them. They are a bit on the expensive side though...

You'd love the Roselines. I had a nice school at one time, they were awesome. If you can get them smaller there not as expensive around $12.
