i put my jack in QT yesterday. his bumps looked like hexima and i decided to go with metronidazole to treat. i assumed his mouth was stuck open (it happened once before a long time ago) and that he would correct it soon enough.
was i wrong. this is him this morning. his lips are now very very swollen and it seems to be covered in something white (its slightly fuzzy, but not as fuzzy as cotton mouth seems to be described as) plus i have never read a fish disease that inclueded the mouth swelling. the rest of his body still looks fine.
i dont know what to do. should i discontinue metronidazole and get something for cotton mouth? what else could this be?
