PC bulbs on ebay. Anyone order??

Bk,

I remember the thread, in fact searched and found it two weeks ago or so. If I can find it again I'll post the link.

However, I don't remember who, but at least one or two people said that they had gotten bulbs from that seller and that they were good.

It's such a tough call. There are so many opinions on whether or not bulb temperature is the only thing going on. People talk about PAR...some people say it matters, some say it doesn't. So, do you go with these bulbs cheap off ebay, or do you shell out the extra cash for some coralife bulbs?

I have yet to answer that question...and that's why I haven't ordered new bulbs yet.

Are you looking for 96w or 55/65w bulbs? If you are looking for 55/65w bulbs, I'd go with the GE 9325 from www.lightbulbsdirect.com. I know you know about that bulb, but wanted to say that's the cheapest place I've seen to get them. I'm sad that they aren't offered in 96w. That's why I was looking at that guy on ebay, because the number of available 96w bulbs is few compared to 55/65w.

Talking specifically about this seller: LINK

the bulbs he sells are extremely cheap. Just curious if anyone ordered and has some reviews..

I don't have any experience to offer about your specific question BK, but I do want to remind you;
You get what you pay for.

I've never seen a side by side comparison, but I'd imagine it'd be pretty similar to a side by side between a 6,500k and a 10,000k, and the difference is pretty noticeable. I've seen side by side comparisons of those two in threads before, but a long time ago so it's doubtful I could find it again.

As I understand. the GE's have a pinkish hue to them. Having 6500K already you can see how its more to the yellow spectrum.
