Why are my yo yo loaches pale

Last weekend i took a small trip and figured my fish would be good for 2 days without food.

when I got back i noticed my yo yo loaches were very pale around the stomach.

I fed them and all the color suddenly came back... what is going on here?

It is possible that they were stressed without the food but I have gone without anything happening.

Fish will often change color when stressed or sometimes if in different moods.

Loaches will "gray out" when stressed, but I've fasted mine for up to a week without them doing it. :huh:

Loaches will also gray out when they clash against each other. My clown loaches do this almost every night for about 20-30 minutes. If the fish are eating well, there is no reason for you to worry.;) Bottom line, all fish can change colors but as long as they are eating well, then you do not have to worry. Yoyos aren't that delicate either and can be quite boisterous especially during feeding frenzy.

I had a yoyo that would always go pale when it was being aggressive or defending an area or just plain stressed out. His bars would just disapear until he was happy again.
