Ok if you checked out some of my other posts today I am in the mood to see little ones crawling around!!! So whats the best way to reproduce mystery snails, I have two, I dont think it matters what they are, since I believe they contain both genders organs, but what can I do to help em along? I bet ms will be one of the first to post...

mystery snails are pomacea bridgesii which are sex specific. If they are larger than nickel sized and not mating, you most likely have 2 females.

crap, dang I know they are a pest, but still it woulda been cool to see them lay eggs since all I got are livebearers, but ok, can u find males at the stores or just females?? What kind of snails meet the requirements I said. Oh yah I knew you would be the first to reply!

Mystery snails are not pests, lol. You do mean apple snails sold under the name "mystery snail" correct? I know that in some locales that common pest snails are also called mystery snails. Common snails like ponds and ramshorns are not sex specific and reproduce readily. You can buy either sex apple snail at stores, but sexing them can be tricky. Here is a link showing how:http://sexingapplesnails.blogspot.com/

Than k your!
