Hey !!!!!!!!!!
I just set up my first 10 gallon saltwater tank with 8 lbs of live rocks
i am so exited and i want to put in some fish
i was thinking about a yellow goby with a tiger pistol shrimp and 2 black and white clown fish, and a fire fish
would that work?
i will add a lot pictures soon
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations on the new tank!! That is great.

All of those fish would be fine in the tank individually but that is WAY too many to all go in a 10 gallon. Typically, people will be a little frustrated with you for putting a single clown in a 10 gallon because they like to swim alot unless they are hosted onto something like an anemone etc. (And you likely won't have an anemone in that size tank and you can never tell if a clown will host or not to begin with).

The yellow watchman goby is a fine idea paired with the pistol shrimp. I personally think you could probably get a way with a firefish too but that would be it.

Another small adorable fish appropriate for that size tank is a yellow or green clown goby. Really cute personalities!

What corals do you think you will add? Xenia are easy to grow...hold off till you can get a pretty colored one though like the blues!

What lights do you have on the tank?

Check out sexy shrimp too! great additions to a nano tank.

i have 28 compact watt coral life aqua light
and corals are the biggest problem right now because i do not know what to get
but i am sure that you will help
will a black and white clown fish be in the condy anemone because i want to get it for its cheap price 7 dollars!!!!!!!!!
please tell me any great addition and the pricing!!!
thank you for your cooperation

Isnt 10 gallons to small for SW? Doesnt the salt build up very quick?

And PS, congrats!

i can't seem to get my camera to work and the computer is very bad so it deos not have a place to put the chip in
so i guess i will have to find it the long way and it might take a while
sorry to keep you waiting so long

Ok, i've got a 12 gallon nano, so i may be able to shed some light here.

My specs:
Twelve gallon JBJ Nano cube deluxe
2 24 watt flourescent bulbs
1 200 GPH koralia powerhead
Also, one 150 gallon pump i nthe back
Filtration:
16 pounds LR in the main tank
2.5 pounds Live rock rubble in the filter section 2
Chaeto in the filter section 3
3 filter sponges in the first section (Rinsed out weekly with water changes to get rid of detritus)
Livestock:
1 True percula clown
1 firefish
1 Emerald Mythrax crab
3 Scarlet hermit crabs
3 Astrea snails
three featherdusters (Hitchhikers)
Bristleworms/brittlestars/copepods/amphipods/yada yada (hitchhikers)
Corals:
2 small colonies (10-13 polyps) of Zoanthid
3 Mushroom corals
1 small colony star coral (Hitchhiker)

Anywho, for a bit of advice.
Some will tell you the clown will be unhappy i nthe small space. However, thanks to my decent current, my clown's very happy. She just gets into the current and 'waddles' her way in it. I've never thought, for an instant, that the clown was unhappy. Eats well, active, flashes wonderful colors.
The firefish simply ikes to hover, so he too is happy.

However, keep in mind that i have more than double your liverock, so double your biological filtration. With your low amount, i'd say one clown or firefish might be pushing it...
Buit, then again, i want my water param's as close to perfect as possible. Corals and all.

If you have any other questions ,feel free to PM me. Granted, i'm still fairly new to this myself, but I do read alot, and being i was there but a few short months ago, i might be able to offer some pointers.

i have a 295 gph power head so is that ok?
2 clown
1 yellow watchman goby
1 tiger pistol shrimp
1 yellow clown goby

Well, as all the other posters said, the stock doesn't really look ok....that's too many fish for a 10G. Some people will never put a clown in a 10G, others say one is fine....but I think putting 2 b&w clowns in a 10G is asking for trouble. Black and whites are known to be somewhat more aggressive than the percula/false percula clowns, and clowns generally can be pretty territorial to one another. In a 10G, there is nowhere near enough room for the 2 to establish separate territories, so I foresee problems with that. Love to see some pics though when you get your camera working.
