i started my first planted tank and its about a month old and i was wondering if i could get some tips on what kind of fertilizers to put in my tank and how often. my tank is 50 gallons, it has cabombas, ferns,echindorous, crypts, water star, hygros, and water wisteria. i have rocks mixed with laterite for my substrate and my co2 is not quite at the right level!!:help:

what lighting do you have and what is the fish stock? you might not need to ad firt all that much

well i have 2 crappy lights and i have 14 rummy nose tetras, 4 blue tetras, 3 head and taillight tetras, 6 black phantom tetras, 2 german blue rams, 2 kribensis, 3 algae sharks, and 7 amano shrimp. is this too much?? i really need to buy a new light!

what are the watts and K rating on the lights you have now? also what are algae sharks? never heard of them before.
