I'm excited, my light fixture arrived (36" 96W Satellite w/lunar light)...although I think the cats are even more excited about new cardboard to play in.
Anyway...before and after shots:
I'm still cycling and waiting on plant deliveries, so it's quite bare at the moment, but I think it's going to be awesome, especially once I get some weeping moss on my "tree". And fish...of course. My question comes down to this...my light came with a single white LED lunar light set dead center in the fixture, which is right where my tank has this ugly brown plastic bar that helps support the glass cover.
I'm wondering if there's a way to possibly cut out a 2-3" chunk of the plastic where it interferes, and then sandwich the remaining legs between some clear material like plexiglass to keep the support and be able to use the light. It's not a huge deal, but I'd love ideas on materials and how to accomplish this...and I'm still out of school for another month, I need projects
