xp-1 hose diameter

Im building a inline co2 reactor for my planted tank. I purchased barbed inlets (1/2). But when I got them home I noticed that they are too small. Anyone know the hose dimensions on the rena filstar Xp-1? It only says 16 x 21 on the side of the hose. I guess i could cut a piece out and take it with me, but i don't want to.
